Why

When sitting down for lunch at a cafe in Los Angeles (which is in the midst of a drought), it hit me that the simple act of ordering a salad for lunch over a burger - would save around 600 gallons (2,271 litres) of water. My decision of what to eat for lunch saved 600 gallons of water.

Do it once a month for a year, and that is 7,200 gallons (27,255 litres) saved - by one person. Imagine if more people did this?
#replaceasteak was born...

Simple decisions lead to real outcomes.

About

After about 12 months of illness and injury i found myself in a bit of a hole. I struggled to see the path out of it. Then, one day I decided to wake up at 5am and ride my bike to the top of an 1,800 foot hill. Not a massive hill, but big enough to wake me up. It really woke me up. I felt the answer to any question can be found at 5am. I found Life at 5am.

Life at 5 is about waking up - time to save ourselves.
